Since there is no instruction included in Open Studio Sessions you must have a proficient level of skills with your media\, along with a comprehensive understanding of how the ICCGS Community Studio operates.\nTo be eligible for Open Studio\, you must have completed classes or registered for open studio with in the past 12 months. If you have not worked in our studio with in the past 12 months\, but have worked with us before\, please make sure to set up a studio orientation meeting (a $60 one time fee).  Please note that this assessment fee does not guarantee that you will be approved for open studio.\n\nOrientation/ Skill Assessment Session must be scheduled in advance by emailing us at info@iowaceramicscenter.org\n\n\nAll Open Studio Participants must adhere to all Studio Guidelines and Procedures. A link to the current handbook can be found here.\nIf an artist is unable to successfully work within the guidelines of Open Studio\, they will be asked to return to a class session to further their understanding of the operations of the ICCGS Studio.\nSpace is available on a first come first served basis.\nParticipants must sign in and out of the studio.\nOne shelf is included in your Open Studio registration.\nOpen Studio Patrons are required to pay for all ceramic firing before work is fired in the kiln. Sign up early\, these always sell out!  Ages 8 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult. Students’ work will be available for pickup 3 weeks after the end of their session/workshop. Sign up early\, these always sell out!  Ages 8 and under must be accompanied by a paying adult. Students’ work will be available for pickup 3 weeks after the end of their session/workshop. Please note that you will not be emailed or called to pick up your work.  All remaining projects will be discarded after 60 days. \nWhat to wear: Students must wear closed toed shoes for safety and ceramic wheel students should wear clothes they do not mind getting messy. \nCancellation policy: ICCGS reserves the right to cancel sessions due to the minimum enrollment not being met.  In that event\, participants will be notified and credit for a future class/workshop credit will be given in the form of a certificate.  Participants may cancel their session for future class credits 7 days/1 week before the class/workshop begins.  You may email us at info@iowaCeramicsCenter.org about your cancellation.  \nAll classes and workshops are held at: Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio\, located in the NewBo district in the Cherry Building at 329 10th Avenue Southeast in Cedar Rapids\, Iowa.  The center is located on the first floor in Suite 117.  Please enter the building through the 10th Avenue side of the building. \n[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
