SUMMARY:MOBILE TO BRUCEMORE--CLAY FLUTED VASE
DESCRIPTION:ART AT BRUCEMORE–Friday Night out-Clay Fluted Vase\nIt’s time to get creative!\nJoin us for a Friday Night Out with the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio at Brucemore. This workshop is for guests 21+ and participants are welcome to BYOB. \nDuring this workshop\, participants will sculpt a beautiful\, fluted vase using various hand-building techniques and tools to create texture and movement in their creation. This project is perfect to personalize your potted plants! \nThis workshop is hosted in the Brucemore Carriage House. All instructions and materials are provided during the workshop. Following the workshop\, the instructor will take the projects to the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio\, add a white glaze to the projects\, and fire them in their kiln. Projects will be available for pick-up at the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio three weeks after the class date. \nPlease register by June 25 at 5:00 PM to reserve your spot. \nWhat to do when you arrive: \n\nPlease enter through the gate at 2160 Linden Dr. SE\, Cedar Rapids\, IA 52403\nOnce onsite\, please follow signs towards the Carriage House\, where there is on-site parking.\nPlease check-in with Brucemore staff in the Carriage House\n\nTips for your visit: \n\nPlease consider leaving bags or other larger personal items in your vehicle. A coat rack is available\, but it is not monitored during the workshop.\nAll ticket sales are non-refundable. Gather your friends and/or partner and join us for a fun Friday Night Out—for 21 and over only.  Participants may BYOB.  \nThis is a 2-hour wheel throwing workshop. In this class\, we will assist you in learning how to center the clay on the wheel and how to create cups and bowls\, with in-depth demonstrations. This class is more about the process of working with the wheel than a specific project. Each participant will complete at least 1-2 cups or bowls. This class is all about the experience and learning how to work with the pottery wheel and having fun!  Projects will then be glazed white and fired by staff\, available for pickup 3 weeks later.  \nDate: Friday\, June 28th \nTime: 6:30 – 8:30pm \nCost: $40.00/person \nRegister \nFriday Nights Out at ICCGS!  21 years and older.  Join us in the studio for a fun project. BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage).  We’ll teach you about clay or glass – and you’ll have a lot of fun!  No experience is necessary.  In each workshop you will create a piece of art that is yours to keep\, then pick up your works 3 weeks later. \nCancellation policy: ICCGS reserves the right to cancel sessions due to the minimum enrollment not being met.  In that event\, participants will be notified and credit for a future class/workshop credit will be given in the form of a certificate.  Participants may cancel their session for future class credits 72 hours/ 3 days before the class/workshop begins.  You may email us at info@iowaCeramicsCenter.org about your cancellation.  \nAll classes and workshops are held at: Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio\, located in the NewBo district in the Cherry Building at 329 10th Avenue Southeast in Cedar Rapids\, Iowa.  The center is located on the first floor in Suite 117 \n[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
