This class is more about the process of working with clay on the wheel than a specific project. Great for kids and adults who are interested in developing a set of skills for working with clay. Each participant will complete at least 1-2 cups or bowls. Projects will then be dried on our shelves and fired in the kiln\, then coated with a white glaze and fired again. Your finished projects will be available for pickup 3 weeks later at ICCGS. This class is all about the experience and learning how to work with the pottery wheel. This is a great way for kids and parents alike who are interested in working with clay to experience it firsthand. Minimum age is 9 years old. you will work with pre-made slabs to create a one-of-a-kind pocket to hang anywhere.  Participants will walk through the steps of folding their slabs into a pocket base\, and the use various types of items to decorate the outside of it including: Stamps\, rollers\, surfacing techniques\, etc.  You will then decorate you project using various colors of glazes to result in beautiful one of a kind Projects will then be fired in the kiln and measure approximately 4”x4”.
