In order to ensure the success and enjoyment of our Summer Camp classes\, please observe these restrictions when registering.  Campers will be asked to wear masks and stay within their dedicated work area to help ensure proper social distancing. \nDrop Off/Pick Up: Check-in and check-out will take place at the entrance of the  ICCGS STEAM Classroom  (ON THE 11th Avenue SIDE)\, located inside the Cherry Building across from the NewBo Marketplace. Parents/adults must sign their child in and out of camp every day. Please be punctual with all drop-offs and pick-ups. Sign-in begins no more than 5 minutes before the start of camp. Unless previously arranged\, campers will not be released until the end of class. For the best creative experience\, and for COVID-19 precautions\, parents/adults are not allowed in the studio space during class time — but are welcome to wait in the lobby area until the end of class. Please be sure to observe our COVID-19 precautions by wearing a mask inside the Cherry Building and observing 6 foot distance during pickup and drop off. \nCOVID-19 precautions: in the studio we are observing all COVID-19 precautions by maintaining distance\, limiting the studio to 10 people at a time\, providing several hand washing stations and sanitizing all surfaces regularly.  Anyone that enters the studio must wear a mask. All ceramic wheel workshops are on Mondays\, when the studio is closed to the public.  All one-day hand building workshops will be held in our dedicated S.T.E.A.M classroom in the Cherry Building. Do not enter the building If your child feels ill or has been exposed to someone with COVID-19.  In that case\, please contact us for a programming voucher\, or to be transferred to another Camp or Workshop by emailing us at info@iowaceramicscenter.org.  Help us keep everyone safe by observing all COVID-19 precautions.   \nWhat to Wear and Bring: Masks are required in the studio during class\, masks are not provided by ICCGS.  Clay may be messy\, so make sure your child wears appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes. Please make sure your child is wearing clothing that can be easily laundered.  Food is prohibited in the studio but water bottles (with secure tops) are allowed. \nCancellation Policy and Transfers: ICCGS reserves the right to cancel sessions due to the minimum enrollment not being met. In this class\, we will assist you in learning how to center the clay on the wheel and how to create cups and bowls\, with in-depth demonstrations. This class is more about the process of working with the wheel than a specific project. Great for kids and adults who are interested in developing a set of skills for working with clay. Each participant will complete at least 1-2 cups or bowls. \nThis class is all about the experience and learning how to work with the pottery wheel.  This is a great way for kids and parents alike who are interested in working with clay to experience it firsthand.  Minimum age is 9 years old. BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage)\, we provide the appetizers.  We’ll teach you about clay or glass – and you’ll have a lot of fun!  No experience is necessary.  In each workshop you will create a piece of art that is yours to keep\, then pick up your works 3 weeks later. \nBring your own drink of choice (BYOB)! We will supply you the glasses and appetizers are included in the registration fee. Community members must pre-register for a session\, when session times are available. \nNOTE: Please make a note of the date you have registered for. Due to limits with our registration software\, this information will not be on your receipt.  \nThe Studio has been divided into stations. Community members may register for one station at a time. Studio session registration is available only for the station you are registered for\, and you are not permitted in any other area during that time.  Community tools are not available\, please carefully read what tools that we are providing for each station. Please see below.. \nStudio Guidelines: \n\nMASKS MUST be worn (and covering your mouth and nose) at all times in the studio.\n\nMasks are NOT provided.\n\n\nDo not come into the studio if you are feeling ill\, have a temperature\, or have been exposed to a person who has been ill or has a temperature.\nYour hands must be washed upon arrival in the studio. Soap and paper towels are provided.\nThe studio will be divided into ‘Sections’\n\nCommunity Members are required to stay in the Station they have registered for and cannot move to another station during their session time.\nWe are limiting the number of people in the studio at one time\, including the studio staff. No additional guests are allowed to come into the studio with you. We have set areas with more than 6 feet of distance between community members at all times.\n\n\nOnly ICCGS staff are allowed in the office.\nCommunity Members must begin the clean up process 20 minutes before your session time ends\n\nCommunity Members must clean up and then sanitize their area before leaving the studio\, using a bleach solution provided by the studio.\n\n\nCommunity Members must adhere to the time of their session\n\nEven if a station is empty\, a staff member will still need to do a second round of sanitizing in the area.\nIf you arrive early\, please wait outside the studio\, or in your car\, before entering the studio and maintain 6 feet from others.\n\n\nNO studio tools will be available for use\, you must bring your own tools\n\nCommunity members will need to bring their own sponge\, buckets\, towels\, brushes\, pouring vessels (to transfer glazes onto work into smaller containers)\, or any other specialty tools needed.\nSponges will not be provided. Sponges will be available for purchase in the studio\, bringing your own sponge from home is recommended. Sponges can not be used for sanitation (only cleaning up) areas must be sanitized after being sponged clean\n\n\nPaper Towels are only provided for hand washing and sanitizing\, please bring your own towel for studio/personal use.\n\nICCGS STUDIO SECTIONS AVAILABLE FOR REGISTRATION: \n \nIf you register for multiple sessions in a row\, you do not need to sanitize in between sessions unless you are switching areas. If you sign up for 4 sessions you will be emailed a coupon for a discounted 5th session! \nSection 1/Glaze Area \nNo community tools\, buckets\, or sponges will be available (firing is not included but can be purchased on our website under ‘shop’)  Provided materials and equipment for studio session: \n-One Work Table \n-Access to buckets of glaze \n-One mixing paddle and the sink.
