DESCRIPTION:[et_pb_section fb_built=”1″ admin_label=”section” _builder_version=”3.26.5″ custom_padding=”80px|||||”][et_pb_row admin_label=”row” _builder_version=”3.25″ background_size=”initial” background_position=”top_left” background_repeat=”repeat”][et_pb_column type=”4_4″ _builder_version=”3.25″ custom_padding=”|||” custom_padding__hover=”|||”][et_pb_text _builder_version=”4.4.2″ link_option_url=” https://theceramicscenter.secure.force.com/events/CnP_PaaS_EVT__ExternalRegistrationPage?event_id=a0J0W00000d5TpAUAU” link_option_url_new_window=”on”] \nCeramic Art Workshop Series: September Boot Camp for Kids\nTopic: Pinch Pot Technique \nDate: Wednesday\, September 9th \nTime: 10:00 am-12:00 pm \nCost: $24.00/student \nGet your kids creative and ready for school!  This is a series of 4 daytime workshops.  Take them all together for a comprehensive ceramic experience—or just take one or two for a great stand-alone art experience.  In each workshop\, students will create a project.  We will then fire them in our kilns\, to be ready for picked up 3 weeks after the workshop.  \nIn this workshop\, your instructor will discuss the history to the pinch pot technique\, and examples from our own art gallery utilizing this process. Participants will learn how to make a bowl or cup just using this useful pinch technique.  Students will have time to glaze (paint) their works as well.  Projects will be available for pickup 3 weeks after the workshop.  \nThis class is for ages 7+\, all students must be able to tolerate wearing a mask for the duration of the workshop.  All students will be seated to be socially distanced.  Parents/Guardians may drop off their kids no more than 10 minutes before class begins\, and pick them up at 12:00pm.  \n[/et_pb_text][et_pb_button button_url=”https://theceramicscenter.secure.force.com/events/CnP_PaaS_EVT__ExternalRegistrationPage?event_id=a0J0W00000d5TpAUAU” url_new_window=”on” button_text=”REGISTER” _builder_version=”4.4.2″ hover_enabled=”0″][/et_pb_button][et_pb_text admin_label=”Summer Camps 2020″ _builder_version=”4.4.2″ global_module=”7286″] \nTerms and Conditions:  \nAge Restrictions: for 2020 September Boot Camp\, we are requiring the minimum age to be 7 years for one day workshops.  In order to ensure the success and enjoyment of our workshops\, please observe these restrictions when registering. Campers will be asked to wear masks and stay within their dedicated work area to help ensure proper social distancing.   \nDrop Off/Pick Up: Check-in and check-out will take place at the entrance of the ICCGS STEAM Classroom (ON THE 11th Avenue SIDE)\, located inside the Cherry Building across from the NewBo Marketplace. For safety\, parents/adults must sign their child in and out. Please be punctual with all drop-offs and pick-ups. Sign-in begins no more than 10 minutes before the start of camp. Unless previously arranged\, students will not be released until the end of class. For the best creative experience\, and for COVID-19 precautions\, parents/adults are not allowed in the studio space during class time — but are welcome to wait in the lobby area until the end of class. Please be sure to observe our COVID-19 precautions by wearing a mask inside the Cherry Building and observing 6 foot distance during pickup and drop off. \nCOVID-19 precautions: in the studio we are observing all COVID-19 precautions by maintaining distance\, limiting the number of people in the studio\, providing several hand washing stations and sanitizing all surfaces regularly. Anyone that enters the studio must wear a mask. All one-day hand building workshops will be held in our dedicated S.T.E.A.M classroom in the Cherry Building. Do not enter the building If your child feels ill or has been exposed to someone with COVID-19. In that case\, please contact us for a programming voucher\, or to be transferred to another Workshop by emailing us at info@iowaceramicscenter.org. Help us keep everyone safe by observing all COVID-19 precautions.  \nWhat to Wear and Bring: Masks are required in the studio during class\, masks are not provided by ICCGS. Clay may be messy\, so make sure your child wears appropriate clothing and closed-toed shoes. Please make sure your child is wearing clothing that can be easily laundered. Food is prohibited in the studio but water bottles (with secure tops) are allowed. \nCancellation Policy and Transfers: ICCGS reserves the right to cancel sessions due to the minimum enrollment not being met. In that event\, participants will be notified by email. If your camper cannot attend an upcoming workshop\, you must contact the center 72 hours before the camp begins. Let us know by sending an email to info@iowaceramicscenter.org or call us at 319-365-9644. If we receive your request within the 72 hour timeframe\, you will be issued a programming voucher. This voucher can be used for any upcoming class or workshop at the center. Alternatively we can also transfer you to another workshop\, if space is available.  \nCompleted Projects: ICCGS will process and fire all projects in our kilns. Student’s work will be available for pickup exactly three weeks after the end of their session; we will NOT call or email you when items are ready for pickup.  \nPlease note: when you pick up your child’s items\, be sure to know the date of the workshop and project type if applicable. \n[/et_pb_text][/et_pb_column][/et_pb_row][/et_pb_section]
