Participants will dream up their designs\, then using x-acto knives\, you will transfer the designs into the clay to ‘cut away’ your design.  Projects will result in cut outs that will dance on your walls when illuminated with a light or a candle.  Participants may also choose to paint their lanterns using ceramic glazes\, or leave their forms ‘natural clay’.  The options are endless! \nDate: Each participant will complete at least 1-2 cups or bowls. Projects will then be dried on our shelves and fired in the kiln\, then coated with a white glaze and fired again. Your finished projects will be available for pickup 3 weeks later at ICCGS. This class is all about the experience and learning how to work with the pottery wheel. This is a great way for kids and parents alike who are interested in working with clay to experience it firsthand. Minimum age is 9 years old.
