The Iowa Ceramic Center and Glass Studio offers you a creative way to get together with friends, or create a memorable experience for an important life event. Whether youre celebrating a milestone, gathering your crew or ignighting team spirit with a team building event–we’ll help you craft unforgettable memories.
We offer party times Friday – Sundays, between 5:00 PM-8:00 PM. Workshops run for 2 hours (wheel) or 1.5 hours (handbuilding and glass). Scroll down for photos of project options.
TEAM BUILDING: We provide the space and projects for your next team-building outing.
Gather your team and create something together while stepping outside the usual office routine. We offer a variety of hands-on clay projects designed to fit your team’s goals, group size, and experience level.
Whether it’s creating personalized bowls for desks and paperclips, mugs for the office, or a beautiful collaborative installation piece designed specifically for your workspace, we’d love to help make your event meaningful, creative, and memorable.
Additional $50/person for up to 45 people maximum - 1.5 HOURS.
In this private workshop, participants will learn to create a handbuilt clay project with step-by-step guidance from one of our experienced teaching artists. The organizer will choose from our selection of projects, or talk to us about a customized collaborative project to display in your building. You’re even welcome to bring some drinks and appetizers (alcohol only for groups of 21+). Projects will be fired twice and ready for pickup 3 weeks later.
It’s a perfect way to enjoy a creative and social experience with friends!
Additional $60/person for up to 10 people maximum - 2 HOURS
In this private workshop, participants will learn the basics of throwing on the pottery wheel with step-by-step buidance from one of our experienced teaching artists. Each participant will create 1-2 pieces on the wheel. Price includes all project materials and firing. Projects will be processed through out kilns--one for initial bisque firing and a second time with a clear glaze. Finished projects will be ready for pickup 3 weeks after the workshop. Best for ages 8+.

In this private glass workshop, participants will learn the basics of warm glass techniques, such as glass fusing and slumping, with step-by-step guidance from one of our experienced teaching artists to a warm glass project, and you’re even welcome to bring some wine (for groups of 21+). All material and supplies are provided, projects will be fired and ready for pickup 3 weeks later.
