Kiln Renewal Project

We invite you to be part of a critical moment of growth and renewal at ICCGS.

Our mission is to foster creativity, education and artistic innovation through accessible ceramics and glass programs.  We rely on the strength and support of our community to bring that mission to life–and right now, your support can make a lasting impact.

The kiln room is the heart of ICCGS–a place where thousands of artists, students and community bring their ideas to life.  However, our aging and fire-damaged kilns have reached a critical point and we are limiting our ability to serve our growing creative community.

We are launching the kiln Renewal Project: Sustaining Creativity at ICCGS to sustain and expand our programs.

This $130,000 initiative will replace essential kilns and upgrade the ventilation and electrical systems that support our diverse programming.

Total goal of $130,000

Help us bridge the gap to complete this essential project.

Marion C. Jacobs Resident Artist Fund

This fund was created to honor our dear friend and long time studio member, Marion C. Jacobs. Marion’s family has set up this fund to support the Resident Artists here at the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio (ICCGS).

Being a teacher herself, Marion encouraged family and peers to embrace creative challenge in methods and materials. She celebrated the personal styles of the artists she worked with and truly enjoyed getting to know them, and what inspired them. Through this fund Marion will continue to inspire curiosity in creating and building community.
