Friday Night Out: Autumn Lanterns
In this workshop you will create a one-of-a-kind autumn lantern. Participants will dream up their designs, then using x-acto knives, you will transfer the designs into the clay to ‘cut away’ your design. Projects will result in cut outs that will dance on your walls when illuminated with a light or a candle. Participants may also choose to paint their lanterns using ceramic glazes, or leave their forms ‘natural clay’. The options are endless!

Cost: $45.00 person
Friday Nights Out at ICCGS! 21 years and older. Join us in the studio for a fun project. BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage). We'll teach you about clay or glass - and you'll have a lot of fun! No experience is necessary. In each workshop you will create a piece of art that is yours to keep, then pick up your works 3 weeks later.
Cancellation policy: ICCGS reserves the right to cancel sessions due to the minimum enrollment not being met. In that event, participants will be notified and credit for a future class/workshop credit will be given in the form of a certificate. Participants may cancel their session for future class credits 72 hours/ 3 days before the class/workshop begins. You may email us at [email protected] about your cancellation.
All classes and workshops are held at: Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio, located in the NewBo district in the Cherry Building at 329 10th Avenue Southeast in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The center is located on the first floor in Suite 117
