Friday Night Out: On the Wheel
Come in after a long week and get creative, and learn a new warm glass technique! Gather your friends and/or partner and join us for a fun Friday Night Out—for 21 and over only. Participants may BYOB.
This is a 2-hour wheel throwing workshop. In this class, we will assist you in learning how to center the clay on the wheel and how to create cups and bowls, with in-depth demonstrations. This class is more about the process of working with the wheel than a specific project. Each participant will complete at least 1-2 cups or bowls. This class is all about the experience and learning how to work with the pottery wheel and having fun! Projects will then be glazed white and fired by staff, available for pickup 3 weeks later.

Friday Nights Out at ICCGS! 21 years and older. Join us in the studio for a fun project. BYOB (Bring Your Own Beverage). We'll teach you about clay or glass - and you'll have a lot of fun! No experience is necessary. In each workshop you will create a piece of art that is yours to keep, then pick up your works 3 weeks later.
Cancellation policy: ICCGS reserves the right to cancel sessions due to the minimum enrollment not being met. In that event, participants will be notified and credit for a future class/workshop credit will be given in the form of a certificate. Participants may cancel their session for future class credits 72 hours/ 3 days before the class/workshop begins. You may email us at [email protected] about your cancellation.
All classes and workshops are held at: Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio, located in the NewBo district in the Cherry Building at 329 10th Avenue Southeast in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The center is located on the first floor in Suite 117
