Join us on Sunday, June 11th for an Summer evening of art, food, and entertainment in our kiln yard, located outside the Ceramics Studio in the heart of NewBo District. Help us light our creative fires and celebrate over 10 years of bringing creativity to Cedar Rapids!
We will have live music, a silent auction, BBQ from Willie Ray’s, drinks, Raku demonstrations with a take home luminary- and enjoy S’mores around the fire.
Every participant will choose a pre-made luminiary, created by our Resident Artists and volunteers, to go through the Raku process! You will be able to see the transformation from bisqueware to a beautifully fired work in one evening, right before your eyes. Participants will be able to take home their projects that night.
Learn about Raku process from our experts, and take something home with you to remember the evening by.
SCHEDULE OF EVENTS:
4:00-7:00 PM Music by Lynne Hart & Pat Smith Duo
4:00-6:30 PM Raku
4:30-7:00 PM S’mores
Tickets – $45/person
Ticket cost includes a pre-made luminary project for Raku, food and 2 drinks tickets.
