Mobile Event at Eastern Iowa Arts Academy– Glass Plant Stakes
We’re so excited to partner with Eastern Iowa Arts Academy (EIAA) to expand our mobile programming with access to ceramics and warm glass education in our community! This spring we’ll be offering multiple hands-on workshops for youth and adults at EIAA, with our first warm glass class on March 28th.
Join us for a hands-on class at EIAA where you’ll design and create a vibrant fused-glass plant stake—the perfect way to show off your style in your favorite planter or outdoor space. Using an array of colorful glass pieces, you’ll create and build your own stunning
2”x8′′ glass artwork that stands out amongst the greenery. We will even attach a metal stake to the back to easily get it into the ground too!
No experience needed! ICCGS’s Instructor will guide you step-by-step, and all materials are included. You will learn to cut small pieces of glass to create a design of your choice. After the workshop, your custom piece will be transported to the Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio for professional glass fusing with kiln firing—bringing that finished look you can’t get anywhere else.
Participants must be 18 years of age. Once fired, your warm glass creation will be ready for pickup 3 weeks later at Iowa Ceramics Center and glass Studio—just in time to brighten up your spring plants!
