We are excited to work with the homeschooling community to create a series of classes to augment your current homeschool curriculum.
We provide the medium, warm glass and clay, large studio space, tools, and qualified instructors to provide art education to your children.
The projects we offer can complement your current studies. For example, working with glass work involves geometry and chemistry while working with clay can include geometry, history, physics and chemistry. Nurturing a love of art enhances studies of other subjects is a vital way to grow a love of creativity in your children.
We have provided a variety of 8-week programs and weekend warrior workshops for 10 years. At ICCGS, our instruction emphasizes a well rounded program to enrich students with knowledge about ceramics and warm glass. Students learn about: kilns, glaze formulation, various equipment including the clay extruder, slab roller and pug mill.
Each workshop for the Home School Program, will be 1.5 hours long. Each class is $18.00 per student and includes instruction and all of the materials for the project, including firing. Projects will be available for pickup 3 weeks after the class. Class size is limited to 12 people and pre-registration is required.
For ages 5 and up. This is an independently driven class, the student must be able to work on their own to complete a project, with their instructor’s guidance.
