Pots, Plants and Prints Artist Market

 

The Iowa Ceramics Center and Glass Studio (ICCGS) will host an artist market in their studio on Saturday, April 20th. This Art Market and Studio Fundraiser will be held in conjunction with Cedar Rapids EcoFest in celebration of Earth Day.  Regional artists will sell handmade works of art centered around plants and Earth Day. Unique pottery, art originals, and also prints will be for sale by individual artists during this event.  ICCGS will host activities for the family including seed bomb-making, wheel-throwing demonstrations, and drop-in workshops.

Join in the fun on April 20th from 11 am-3 pm and celebrate Earth Day in the heart of Cedar Rapids!

CALL FOR ARTISTS–SUBMIT YOUR APPLICATION BY MARCH 3RD

This Art Market and Studio Fundraiser is held in conjunction with Cedar Rapids EcoFest in celebration of Earth Day.  Regional artists are invited to sell handmade works of art centered around plants and Earth Day. Unique pottery, art originals and also prints will be for sale by individual artist during this event.  

Timeline of Events:

-Application is due March 3rd.  It is free to apply! 

-Applicants will be emailed by March 8th  if they are accepted into the market. 

-If accepted into the market, the fee is $35 per 6 foot table. One artist per table.

-Artists are required to be present on Saturday, April 20th from 11AM – 3PM

-Artists are responsible for the sale of their own work

-Artists are responsible for set up  (9:00-11:00am) and take down (3-4pm) of their own space.  All artists must be set up by 10:45 am.

Additional Details and Information:

-For the April 20th market, we will focus on artists who engage with the theme of earth day.

-ICCGS will provide a 6 foot table for the artist to display their work (artist display must stay within their dedicated space).

-Artists must sell work represented in their application.

-ICCGS will promote the event, and Ecofest will cross promote as well.

-Proceeds from this event will support the non-profit mission of ICCGS including programs and studio space.

-Space is limited. Selection of artists will be focused on: creativity, handmade, and the theme of Earth Day.  We welcome new sellers and all media!

-We are open to all media for this art market.

-We welcome artists with all levels of experience.

15 minute Ceramic Wheel Throwing

Location: ICCGS Studio

Time: 11am – 3pm

Cost: FREE

 

Drop in: Volunteer to paint/glaze pre-made Bowls for the Empty Bowls Fundraiser at Marion Arts Festival. 

Location: ICCGS Classroom
